Arabic Storytelling for Kids: The Watermelon

Book Title: البطيخة
Author: تغريد النجار
Publisher: @alsalwa_books

My first attempt to Arabic Storytelling session with my ex-Arabic Tutees. Alhamdulillah. (Cos i dont have that much time to commit with tutoring as for now)😊

Alhamdulillah, it went well although alot more that I can improve on. Such as, putting all props in a box. It will more surprising.

And, i find it challenging to deal with some props and flipping the book page. Maybe next time, i need book holder.🤔

One day she dreamt of getting into a watermelon and eat all the watermelon til she had a very bad stomachache.😣

When she woke up, she realised her mistakes. And she began to eat all other food in addition to watermelon.🍓🍜🥛

Below are some of the craft sessions for my little audiences.🤗

Arabic Activity for Toddler

Arabic Matching Exercise for Lower Primary

Arabic Sentence Restructuring for Upper Primary

In summary, this book has a simple storyline with interesting illustrations that captures the heart of the little audiences. MasyaAllah. An easy Arabic sentence structure used too, easy new words to be learnt as well!👍

Alhamdulillah, such a refreshing experience for an amateur Arabic storyteller like me.😎
